AI-ready 2026

AI Search Optimizer (GEO) — your SEO in AI answers

Google now answers directly with AI before anyone clicks. Old tools count only SERP positions — we also measure what GPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity say about your brand when users search. Module included from v0.28.

  • Tracking 4 major LLMs
  • Available on Pro
  • Concrete GEO recommendations

Why AI Overviews matter in 2026

A real shift in how users search

A growing share of Google queries return direct AI answers (Search Generative Experience / AI Overviews) — heavier weight on informational queries. For your user this means:

  • The answer comes directly, no need to click your site.
  • Your brand is either cited in the answer, or doesn't exist for the user.
  • Classic SERP positions have diluted impact — top 3 positions lose ~30% click-through when AI Overview shows.

In the same period, Perplexity and ChatGPT with browsing attracted 200M+ users searching directly in LLM, bypassing Google. Anything not LLM-indexable = invisible to them.

3 main features

What AI Search Optimizer concretely does

  • AI mention tracking

You set 5-20 queries relevant to your niche (e.g., "best offline SEO tool", "Ahrefs alternative US"). The app sends the query to 4 LLMs (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Perplexity) weekly or monthly and extracts:

    • Do you appear in the answer? — Yes / No / Partial
    • What text cites you — relevant extract + context
    • Competitors who appear — who takes your place when you don't

Result: dashboard with "share of voice in AI" — measurable, time-compared, competitor-compared.

  • Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)

Concrete recommendations on existing content — not generic advice, but tactical steps applicable to your site:

    • Add FAQ schema — on informational intent pages (LLMs prefer structured FAQ)
    • Rewrite intro paragraphs — to be extracted as direct answer (clear definitions in first 50 words)
    • Add comparison tables — LLMs extract tables well for comparative queries
    • Cite credible sources — LLMs prefer content with verifiable sources over empty content
    • Statistics and concrete data — LLMs extract numbers
  • Content gap analysis

Compared to competitors who appear in AI answers: what content they have explaining the concept, what's missing on your site.

Content brief generator with structure optimized for LLM extraction (H2-H4 + FAQ + sub-sections with direct definitions).

How it works technically

Under the hood

The app makes programmatic calls to 4 LLMs via their public APIs (with your keys, per the local-first rule):

  • Anthropic Claude /messages prompt formulated as natural query
  • OpenAI GPT /chat/completions similar prompt
  • Google Gemini generateContent with Google Search grounding active
  • Perplexity /chat/completions with citation tracking enabled (Perplexity shows sources)

Responses are parsed locally (NOT on our cloud — see local-first) to extract brand mentions, citation patterns, content extraction. Data stored in local SQLite with weekly history.

Frequently asked

Everything you want to know about AI tracking

Depends on number of queries × number of LLMs × frequency. Typical: 10 queries × 4 LLMs × weekly = 160 calls/month × ~0.01 USD = ~1.60 USD/month at providers. Scales linearly with volume.
Microsoft Copilot uses OpenAI GPT-5 on backend (already covered via GPT tracking). Direct Bing Chat tracking is on the roadmap, planned for when Microsoft opens that API.
Yes — the "Discover queries" module suggests queries based on Google Search Console (queries generating impressions for you) + Google Trends + competitor research.
Weekly for critical queries (brand + top money keywords). Monthly for long-tail. AI Search Optimizer allows per-query frequency (not all need same cadence).
